작가 소개
한국화가 허동원은 예원예술대학교 문화예술대학원에서 문화영상창업학을 전공하였다. 현재는 지식문화콘텐츠와 얼굴문화원 대표로 활동하고 있으며, 문화콘텐츠개발과 스타트업 컨설턴트로 활동하고 있다. 1998년 한국화우회회전으로 처음 미술활동을 시작하였으며 한국미술협회, 전북미술협회, 환경미술협회 등에서 꾸준히 전시활동을 하고 있다.
그의 작품은 자연과 일상을 평면화한 작업 형태이다. 주요소재로 숲과 나무와 집을 사실적으로 표현하려 하였고 직접적인 경험이 없는 부분에서는 느낌과 생각을 애매하게 변형하여 미적 가치를 구현하려고 하였다. 또한 한글의 자모를 디자인과 서예의 적절한 조화를 통해 아름다움을 표현하는 작업을 하고 있으며, 한국미술의 예술성을 선과 면의 연결에서 시각적인 균형을 이루는 예술성에 중점을 둔 창작을 하고 있다.
그는 문화예술과 창업학을 기반으로 강연 활동도 활발하게 하고 있다. 그는 '화가들의 얼굴 읽기' '얼굴에 담긴 예술과 내면' 사람의 얼굴을 문화예술과 마케팅의 소재로 사용하여 기업과 대학 등에서 인기 강연자로 활동하고 있으며, 한국화와 캘리그라피 강사로서 지역문화예술 발전을 위한 활동을 하고 있다.
Korean painter Heo Dong-won majored in culture and video entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Culture and Arts at Yewon University of the Arts. Currently, he is working as the representative of knowledge and culture contents and face culture center, and as a consultant for cultural content development and start-up. He first began his art activities with the Korean Painting Association in 1998, and continues to exhibit at the Korean Art Association, Jeonbuk Art Association, and Environmental Art Association.
His work is a flattening of nature and daily life. He tried to express forests, trees, and houses realistically as the main materials, and in areas without direct experience, he tried to embody aesthetic values by vaguely transforming feelings and thoughts. In addition, he is working on expressing beauty through proper harmony between design and calligraphy of the letters of Hangul, and is creating Korean art that focuses on artistry that visually balances the connection between lines and faces.
He is also actively engaged in lecture activities based on culture and arts and entrepreneurship. He is working as a popular lecturer in companies and universities by using the faces of artists, art and inner people as materials for culture and art and marketing, and as a lecturer in Korean painting and calligraphy, he is engaged in activities for the development of local culture and arts.
